Seventy-Sixth Collection

Creative Control- Balancing, for an artist, between what you feel the audience wants, what is a great composition, and what feels good to you, your anxiety could keep the project from completion. When the power is yours however, and the art makes your soul happy, that's all that matters. Nicole, 16,U.S.A.

My model Bess is a very friendly personality and I enjoy working with her because the spirit on set is always inspiring and she is open for good ideas. For this photo she poses in front of a window in an attic of an old farmhouse. The light falls nicely on her body from the outside through the window and gives her a beautiful silhouette. Unfortunately there was an old barn directly opposite, preventing a wide view of the kind seen in the finished photograph. So I searched my photo archive for a suitable landscape photo to get this view (which I also found in this winter landscape). I then used Photoshop to fit a section of my landscape photo into this portrait. Finished. I titled the picture "Room with a view".
I used natural light only.

Foraging fun- In most geographical areas there are some plants, vegetables, and fruits that grow natually to the region and are also great places to find supplies and food for your home. This trip was just for fun and color. Abbi, 9, U.S.A.

This picture of Flavia was taken on a warm summer day at a pool shoot in 2020.
We photographed various outfits and the results were great, thanks to the model for this beautiful day.

My first sports outfit shoot and the first shoot with Flutra. We had a lot of fun together and were able to create a lot of great pictures.

We took the whole day for this shoot. We drove to different locations and finally we visited the beautiful Ebenalp in Switzerland. An absolute dream backdrop for a photo shoot. Many thanks to Stefanie for this wonderful, eventful day.

Hili is a gym buddy of mine. His massive exterior contrasts strongly with his big heart and spontaneous nature. We share the same taste in music. This portrait is a tribute to our rave love. The shoot was great fun and Hili's reaction when he saw the results for the first time was unforgettable.

My personal interpretation of Adam, after being expelled from Eden.
«Like Adam, we have all lost Paradise; and yet we carry Paradise around inside of us in the form of a longing for, almost a memory of, a blessedness that is no more, or the dream of a blessedness that may someday be again.»
— Frederick Buechner

It was the first time I had the pleasure to shoot this beautiful and lovely woman. It was also the first time I had a photoshoot in my upcoming studio and as you see, Céline and I rocked it. We had so much fun and the results are incredible.
Thank you Céline for your trust and the great work you've done this day.

This picture is one of several photos of my model. Thanks very much. I like it very much.
Another job that only uses natural light ...

This photo is from a handsome young boy Jay that i made in my studio in Montfoort. I don't get a lot of young boys in my studio so i love this shoot. He was so photogenic with his brown bright eyes.

From racehorse to riding horse. 1.5 years ago Barry was still on the racetrack. So much trust and bonding in one picture.

Every bride deserves to be celebrated in a beautiful portrait. I love the opportunity to capture the private side of a wedding. I used natural light to give it a timeless, painterly look.

Great results are always a combination of good ingredients and a good working team effort. Thanks to Nadine for this great experience

I love to use the last sun rays of the day to create pictures. The light is truly magic and brings great results. Thanks to Natalie for this great summer evening

Trying to get feelings trough the eyes, not an easy exercice, but when you know how to train a model, you can get great results. All in the studio in a good and relax atmosphere

This is a portrait of my then 4 year old daughter and my 9 year old once wild mustang Argo at sunset at the barn where we keep her. This was shot with a Nikon Z6 and a Nikkor 700-200 f2.8 (at 200mm f2.8).

This is Logan. His parents asked me to capture some shots of him for his second birthday and really wanted to have few on his motorcycle. We started the shoot with this look since it was the most “complex” and I placed my Westcott FJ200 to camera left with the standard reflector on it. He was somewhere between happy and upset when I took this shot, hence his mixed emotions. The flash really makes it seem darker in the day than it is. That wasn’t intentional, but it really works for black and white.

A beautiful powerful portrait of Dana
A portrait as pure as this one, then I love the black and white combination
