From ‘Confined to bed’ to Bodybuilder : The Inspiring Journey of Vasudha

Meet Vasudha, a 45-year-old former Techie and mother of a 13-year-old daughter. Her story is truly remarkable, transitioning from a state of being immobilized to achieving gold medal status as a Bikini athlete Pro title.
Vasudha’s fitness journey commenced in 2019 during the lockdown, driven by a strong desire to regain her health and vigor. With unwavering determination, she committed herself to a rigorous fitness routine, tirelessly sculpting her physique and enhancing her overall well-being.

In December 2021, Vasudha made her debut as a bikini athlete, securing 3rd place in her first competition. Undeterred by obstacles, she continued to push boundaries, earning gold medals at the ICN Bangalore 2022 and claiming the prestigious overall Bikini Athlete Pro title at the 2023 ICN GOA.

This nice family came to my studio in December last year. I'm very happy to get the change to capture them on a classy way. I love to use a dramatic light setup.

Scars and Wisdom

'Hindsight' is a powerful thing.
Who we used to be and what we went through must feel different in that moment in time. In the present, if we reflect, it can show us so much we couldn't fathom then.

Thinking back on how we dealt with a situation before versus now, can show you growth, progress, learnings, or just a change – in you and in your life. It is not to say that what probably hurt you before won't now, but, how you deal with it or perceive it, will change. We can reduce it to the 'beauty of time', but let's give ourselves some 'credit'.

What we go through, changes our composition – our coping skills, self-awareness, emotional quotient, resilience, cognitive skills, and so much more.

But, what I can't say is 'when' that happens for each of us and how we choose to take it. Yet, my hope would be that if bad days or challenges find you, they don't break you, but leave you new. Rich with inspiration, strength, and reform.
