Most of the work I submit to the Portrait Photo Awards is personal projects aimed at experimentation. This photo of Nina is one such example where I tried to make the eyes speak more through the use of flowers.

Lavendel sehnsucht

This photo was taken on a shooting trip through France. The Provence lavender fields, which we visited at the evening for this picture are very famous, people come from all over the world to see the beautiful purple rows of flowers.

When a special child enters my studio, my mission is to make them feel so comfortable that they look straight into my camera. It's always challenging and surprising to see how little children react and gaze at the camera.

This beautiful strong girl was perfect to use for some new photo experiment, utilizing a curtain, red hair, and playing with some extra wind resulted in this outcome. All my photos are made by daylight.

In this high-contrast black and white image, light and darkness merge into a sensual composition. The person emerges from the shadows and casts mysterious silhouettes through the backlight.

Second photo shoot with Melanie. It just harmonizes between us. It's always fun and I'm already looking forward to the next shoot with her!

Underwater photography allows you not only to transcend terrestrial physical boundaries, where objects and bodies behave differently, but also exposes new emotional facets of your model.

On plunging into this less familiar environment, a person subtly changes - water combines radical moments: both comfort for the body and tension for the psyche.(The model must never completely forget that breathing under water is simply not an option.)

No matter what precise control a professional model usually has in the frame, here she will do battle with herself, study herself and feel differently. Inevitably, she will afford the photographer unexpected details in her facial expression, posture, and mood.

Thus, the photographer and her model are no longer directors of the photoshoot but researchers endeavoring, among the many unexpected shades of the uncontrolled, to discover new truths in themselves and in the frame.

This is a composite of a photo I took on my studio, I thought this subtle pose mix well with the sunset beach background.

This photo is part of a personal brand session. If you want to smile it has to be a natural personal smile - not a photo smile..... As a photographer it is my ambition to make people confident and to feel good during a photo session. Then I get the perfect natural smile.
