Sixty-First Collection
Dayak tribe. Comes from East Kalimantan. By wearing their traditional clothes they use real bird feathers for their hat decoration.
I like to do portraits inspired by Dutch Golden Age painting. I usually use soft lighting in my photographs. At present I investigate the portrait and the correspondence between the internal and external features of the subjects portrayed, people and animals.
The idea was to shoot a sporty frame with an 80s flavor. I added two accent lights - pink and turquoise - to achieve a little bit different and interesting look.
I shoot this guy when he has 12 years old for the first time, since that time he became an actor, we had lots of fun to shoot him again and now with our experience, we can do very nice pictures together, its a teamwork.
Portrait and Beauty session with Chloé in Les Sables d'Olonne, with a nice and simple lighting setup (Elinchrom 100cm deep octa, carefully placed for a nice falloff, and subtle white reflector) to focus more on the expression and the posing.
"Red rose"
The photo of "red rose" was inspired by the book "The Little Prince" where the rose was the only friend of the main character.
"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
The perfect sunset allowed us to get this spectacular photo. Too much Sensuality, softness and elegance in one picture.❤️
Inspired by Ancient Greek mythology, this shot is a modern take on Themis, an Ancient Greek Titaness also known as the symbol of Lady Justice. Thus the significant symbols representing her is still present in this photo, such as the blindfold and the scale.
By the Cliffs - the photo was from a shooting a friend and me planned for some time. The place "Eschbacher Klippen" is one of my favorite places since I'm able to think. I was there as a child and still visit the place very often. It's a Cliff standing in the middle of a green area surrounded by forrest. For Selina it was her, if I remember correctly, second shooting. The plan was to shoot some contrast images like with a dress on the cliffs within a sundown atmosphere. Given the styling, the cliffs and Selina as a not so experienced model, I wanted to try a more easy and common pose, a pose which would bring additional contrast to the picture. So I said something like "Ok, give me that absolute relaxed weekend summer sadness pose" and she nailed it. Bäm, the picture was born.
This photo from Stephanie was taken in a forest near Zoug (CH) where we found an old rusty car which gave us the perfect set for this shoot. It was late in the afternoon on a sunny day and we enjoyed the sunset through the leaves.

There is no definition of beauty, but when you can see someone's spirit coming through, something unexplainable, that's beautiful!

Thanks to @yve_ninety_two. This shot was taken in a photo studio in Cologne. We tried to create some interesting light spots with my pocket projector.
Exquisite. Elegance of women always reflect from the way she look and the way she behave. Exquisite is the most dignified and elegance of a character which comes from the heart. I am lucky to capture those emotions from my subject. This is one of my favorite portrait from the Princess series. The Medium Black & White helped me to avoid any kind of distraction from the subject to express the soul of Exquisite in this frame.
Through darkness comes light, through fear comes love, and through pain comes Triumph.
-Mary Paleologos- Studio and lighting set to reflect desired contrast. Abbi, 7.
Boy and girl eating grapes and melon. Thanks to my 2 children who patiently posed for me. Inspired by a painting from Bartolome Esteban Murillo, a Spanish Baroque painter.
Children always have fantasies when playing. When they gathered together, they can always create interesting things to be used as games. Even with very simple tools.
This young lady is @mj_dolly95. She is a strong woman who is determined to what others are not willing to do. Thanks to PPA for selecting my photo, it keeps my morale high and a growing will to continue and better myself.
A good coffee is always welcome. Anytime, anywhere. This studio shoot was made with some harsh lighting to achieve a nice contrast between light and shadows.
