Congratulations to Derya and all of our outstanding finalists.

This unique beauty shot was taken in my studio during a creative session focused on light and expression. The model is gently wrapped in soft, diffused light that subtly reveals the contours of her nude body without exposing too much. A single hard strip of light falls precisely across her eyes, drawing immediate attention to her gaze. The contrast between softness and precision, vulnerability and strength, creates a powerful, almost cinematic mood — an unconventional take on classic beauty photography.

In "Contemplation in Stone," I positioned my subject within ancient brick ruins to create a dialogue between human fragility and architectural permanence. The natural window light provides soft illumination, while the monochrome treatment emphasizes texture contrasts - the rough, weathered stone against flowing fabric and smooth skin. Her contemplative pose, with hand resting against her head, suggests introspection and quiet strength. The pleated dress creates rhythmic vertical lines that echo the structural elements. This environmental portrait explores themes of time, solitude, and the enduring human spirit within historical contexts, capturing a moment of peaceful reflection.
