It is always a challenge to work with one light source and with movement in the image: in this case with flying hair. We have used a fan for this image. Also I wanted to make this hair and the picture golden and warm.
Young Cosette inspire by Les Miserables. Model Jessica Emily Venn has heart in the character from this famous musical, photographing the iconic image that carries the all too familiar tale of hope.
This picture arised with two ideas. I saw the beautiful fern and it wanted to introduce with the picture. And so the amazing and uncomplicated model laid under the fern leaves. Only i used available light for this portrait.
Simple portrait under natural light. I tried to create a moody feel combining both the expression and the tonal contrast along with the mute colors.
This was taken using two orange gels behind and a blue gel umbrella as the key light. This was from a set with shooting a specific head piece I had made and was the fun shots at the end of the shoot. Model is Lily May 94 and make up by Hannah Louise Field.
That’s the way it is. This was typical like „neighbourhood girl“, she doesn’t love to be photographed. I could convince her to trust. We created this amazing atmospheric picture. Pure, clear, simple. That’s the way I love it.
In this picture I used different light sources and tried to get a fresh young style, which is very close to a beauty. So here careful retouching was nessessary.
The English Roses, photographed in the heart of Hampshire, England. Two princesses from England and Puerto Rico modelling classic custom gowns to express the gentle tale of royalty.
I'd cross oceans with no regrets...
Model: Leisha Burte
This image was shot on the cliffs of beautiful Negril Jamaica!
This picture arised in the nature on a simple grass field. The green eyes of this amazing Model come with the green grass especially for prestige. And the freckles fit nicely into the natural look. I love the naturally look and i love to shoot outdoor in nature.
Portrait of Jenny under natural light. I tried to create an earthly feel to the skin where the woman embraces her presence in nature fully, bathed by light and surrounded by gentle harmless birds under the exotic leaves.
Literally, framed well, photographing Amy was a treat. The moments including this one, she says "Had a very fairy-like whimsical feel to them...that somehow was captured in a photo." Loved the natural lighting, the vintage clothing, the eye-catching scenery... everything about it!
Every time I go to my hometown - St. Petersburg - I'm trying to organize a photo shoot on the streets. Every corner of this city is full of unique charm, even the yards that may seem unremarkable, each have its own character. This photo was taken in one of these yards in the evening, around 5 p.m. I was attracted to the wall of the house with different types of windows. The whole appearance of this house in the background creates the right mood: mild sadness and melancoly, but still it looks warm and cold at the same time as autumn always is in Saint Petersburg.
I took a few shots and choose the one where my model is not looking at the camera. Very often when I choose pictures after the shooting I can hear songs in the background in my head which can help to describe the mood. And when I look at this photo I hear "Aha - Summer moved on". What do you hear?
I am a man of passion...for me live starts with my feelings...the whole spectrum...to be happy you need to be sad from time the time...i always try to get emotions out of my models...i want them to let go of their walls..i want them to show me who they really are...it doesn't work everytime...but if it works it will give your photography the best you can wish for.
