I began my photographic journey in 2008 when my eldest child was born; Before long I was enthralled by creating images and desperately wanted to learn how to make them look like they did in my mind. It wasn't enough to just capture the moment, I wanted to find a way to capture the feeling of the moment, the emotions and the mood. So I started to trawl through the internet for beginner tutorials on how to use you DSLR. When I switched over from Auto to Manual the fun really began. I began to learn how to isolate important details using low apertures, how to make a dreamy, soft images by using backlighting and exposing for my subjects' face and to use composition to produce a powerful scene.
