108th CollectionWhen planning this session, I wanted to portray a dark and creepy woman with an empty baby carriage and a darkly lit sky, but the day of the session brought the most beautiful sunlight, shining down on us everywhere we turned. This is when I knew I had to change the concept. All I saw through my lens was a beautiful mother…in deep and profound grief and longing of a child that never came to be. Recovering from the loss of a child is a delicate, deeply personal process - one that is intertwined with sorrow and resilience. While the grief never fully disappears, recovery brings a quiet transformation, a shift from unbearable pain to a bittersweet acceptance filled with love, memory, and the strength to move forward. For a long time, joy may seem impossible, disloyal even. Life becomes fragile. It is a continuous journey of learning to live with loss while embracing life’s beauty again in the midst of all of the pain. And in that, there is a quiet and profound beauty. A reminder that, the sun will shine again
