Thirty-Third Collection
I plan my photography session as usual but when I meet my clients on the set, I create the light and their poses differently to my initial planning. As I instructed her poses, I noticed her long neck and the structure of her face.
I used one light (beauty dish) with a grey background.

I love the expression on Daniela's face. The serenity… and, of course, the freckles ;) Once again, a huge thank you to my amazing team! <3

My work colleague has been training his body for 20 years now. Just for fun he said he would like to do a professional photo shoot. Of course I said, why not. We had so much fun during the shooting and the result is just amazing! Thank you so much!

Another photoshooting with my great looking model Arijeta. She is not only a model but a hairdresser and a make-up artist too. She has prepared her hair and makeup for this stunning photos by herself. We made several great pictures so that the choice was very difficult. I chose the one with the model in front of the mirror and called it "The beauty in the mirror".
For the lighting I used a wireless flash trigger with two flashes.
My model, Nathalie Emplit found this hat the day before our scheduled photo shoot, and immediately thought it has an Audrey Hepburn “vibe.” I agreed as soon as I saw it! This image was captured in natural light, in uptown Charlotte, NC, USA. Because of cold weather, we shot indoors that day — inside Latta Arcade, on an upper level balcony which was bathed in natural light through two walls of window and a (literal) glass-ceiling.
Nathalie is on Instagram as @nathalieemplit.
As we were walking through the woods, the fragrance of these flowers pulled us to this beautiful location. I wanted to capture her embracing the fragrance as she was lying on the grass.

This picture was taken in the winter during a Shooting break on my balcony and was a snapshot.

This was a result of a very collaborative effort. Model had a styling idea, make up artist wanted to try something new and I took care of the rest. This was also my first collaboration with aspiring model and medical student Kianna.
The photo was taken in November. It was a surprisingly warm day. Although Tabea was in front of the camera for the first time, she did a great job.

This picture is part of my long term project "Just me". Simple portrait photos in black and white, with a lot of expression.
Many thanks to the model @tanjadahlia, it was great to shoot with you.
Matilda on her wedding day. This image is taken on an old boat in the archipelago of Stockholm. Matilda was waiting with anxiety her man-to-be: Andreas, trying to hide from his sight behind that mistique old window ... like a little child ... like the most beautiful bride ...
This is a portrait I took of the rustic, brooding Phil Sullivan (Q Model and Social media influencer). This opportunity came courtesy of Sony Alpha on “World Photography Day” in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
This Photo was taken with my lovely Nikon D700. I used only one flash with a Beauty dish and a dark grey background and a black V flat.

“The diver” was about bringing forward the cold, rigid conditions of open water in as much of a beautiful way as I possibly could. Personally, I am terrified of large bodies of water, so I attempted to use this photograph in a dark but beautiful way laying heavily into deep blacks and contrast in an attempt to illustrate my own fears.
Daylight studio at my home.
Portraitshoot with the amazing: Tessa Lucas
Hair and Make-Up by: Mirjam Meijer
Camera: Nikon D750 - 50mm
This photo was created at my first workshop that I ever attended.
Beautiful model Natalia during the Golden Hour in this vintage inspired shoot.
Flashlight studio at my home. On a Sunday afternoon, I made this Sedcardshooting for Maxime (@_macsim_)
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / 24-70mm f2.8
This was very spontaneous shot on the way back to our car after a photo session.. I just saw a patch of lawn with some daisies right in the middle of the city.. I asked her if she could lie down there and we took a few shots while nearby people were curiously looking.. These turned out to be the best pictures of the day..
A different type of engagement session. With the goal of not only bringing the passion of the couple through the lens but to connect them in a way that was outside of their comfort zone by posing together, skin-to-skin in a preofessioa studio. Neither subjects are trained models and what you see in frame is real; an empowered woman and her fiancée, leaving it all on the table.
