It was late afternoon and the sun was shining through the trees. So I asked a friend to use the diffuser to provide some shadow on the model’s face. After a while I noticed, that, depending on where my friend stood, I had some reflections of the water on the model. After a bit of trying around, we found the perfect trade-off between enough shadow and still some reflections where we wanted them.
The picture was taken on one evening in May a bit after nine in the evening. The snow had melted already but the nature hadn't yet woken up. The setting sun created the perfect lighting for the picture.
This Picture was taken almost at midday with full sunshine. The model was standing right at the entry door way to a public car park. The light bokeh at the back is coming from lamps at the side of the car way, which directs the car to the Underground parking lot. Big thanks goes to Toni and Evelin for making this Picture possible.

At this beautiful, very warm and sunny day I met my model at 11:30 in Bern for some street fashion and portrait pictures.
We tried a lot of different dresses and poses. One of a bunch of magnificent pictures is this. It was very funny and easy to shoot with my Model Dina, so I called this picture: "Laughing is healthy".
For this picture I let the model sit down on an old bench in the arcade to place her in the shadow, just on the edge of bright sunlight. So I had a perfect light on the model.

Like a lioness watching over her child, a breastfeeding image in a wild environment is what I intended to create. I didn't expect to receive such a fierce look though, it took my breath away to see it as it came so spontaneous and without directions.
It was the extra touch that made me fall in love with the image.
Shot in my studio in Milano, using a Nikon D750 and a Nikon 85mm f 1.8 G lens.

Jacob, a stellar vocalist and actor, performs in Aladdin on Broadway and sometimes plays the title role! This shoot was my first attempt at creating a moody vibe with Rembrandt lighting.

The Chapel Bridge is the landmark of the city of Lucerne in Switzerland and one of its major tourist attractions. It was built around 1365 as a bastion and connects the separated by the Reuss Old and New Town. With Sarina Michel we have put this great location perfectly in scene.

Eduarda is one of the women with the strongest thinking I have ever known, with well-worked ideals and strong arguments, she has attracted my attention, a feminist who fights a lot for her rights and for other women, so nothing better than paying attention to this beautiful look she has, paraphrasing the old adage that "the eyes are the window of the soul"

I’d worked with Sarah before on a fashion shoot and was amazed by her ballet skills. I knew then that I had the perfect creative partner.
She came in for some images again involving ballet and it was towards the end of the shoot she asked if we could do something a little different.
This was the first pose and image I captured, I hadn’t looked beyond her ballet skills to see the talented model right in front of me!
This award is as much hers as mine.

The communication is the most important when I shooting people. If the communication is wrong or doesn’t work with the model you going to see that on the final product. We have many many faces just imagine when you get a great news and than immediately get a bad one your face change so quickly. The communication with the people works so similar. With this skill i can show their real individuality, or can I manipulate them?

I met with Desirée after work in her garden. This beautiful magnolia tree was standing there, in full bloom. It was almost dusk and the wind was also rather cold but we decided to do a little portrait session anyway. No regrets.
