What fascinates me is not just how someone looks, but what they feel – and what I feel when I look through the lens. I’m not searching for perfection, I’m searching for presence. I handed her my hoodie without a thought.
Through the lens, the world turned green.
Her golden hair caught what was left of the day, a last breath of sun before the evening took it back.
It became one of my favorite images.
Not because it’s perfect,
but because it still breathes every time I look at it.
On the steps of an old chapel.
The air was still, the light soft and uncertain.
Nothing was directe, it simply happened.
In that quiet moment, everything fell into place, as if calm itself had chosen to be seen.
700 kilometers from home, with only one lens in my bag.
It wasn’t the first frame of the day, we had already found a rhythm, a quiet trust beginning to form.
And somewhere in that stillness, this moment appeared.
A reminder that sometimes, what you don’t plan stays the longest.
Early morning, before the world was awake.
The first light touched her face like a quiet thought.
Nothing moved, and yet everything was there, strength without effort, presence without words. A calm that didn’t need to be found, only seen.
