Fifty-Fifth Collection

When modes and mores change decade by decade as they do, two centuries can seem like a veritable eternity. While the stately elegance of the nineteenth century is by now mostly just the stuff of musty museum displays, some of us still refuse to forget the likes of the great German painter and lithographer Franz Xaver Winterhalter, and the royalty whom his portraits immortalized. That those grand traditions of elegance live on, infusing their subjects with anti-anachronistic, thoroughly contemporary vitality, can be seen in this striking image by Houston portrait photographer Amalya Shandelman.

After every storm, there is a rainbow...It was a grey rainy day with no hope to get outside for a walk. But all of a sudden the sun came out and created pure natural magic.

The title is "Green soul". We were walking down the streets to find a nice spot to take some shots. After a few hours, we found a nice house with a long wall with leaves and branches perfect for the shot. Many thanks to @julimejiaseidel :)

This photo was taken at the last minute during a commercial shoot for our local Access Fitness, owned by Esther and Dan Hughes. In addition to being a local business owner, Dan is also a Champion bodybuilder who agreed to a spur of the moment last shot.

This is a pretty simple 2 light set up in his gym. 1 red gelled rim light and a gridded beauty dish overhead.

"Madonna Rossa con Angeli".

In the frame is my lovely wife. The picture was taken during a Christmas visit to my parents in the red salon. Inspired by Peter Paul Rubens "Maria with child inside Angels" my composing is an homage to all the women who given birth as a mother, as the origin of all life, surrounded by the mythological creation and the purity of the soul in the form of little angels. Red is a symbol of love, blood, affection, and passion, something that all women will give.

Rachida and I wanted to do a Fashion- and Lifestyle Shooting in Luzern. Even though it started to rain, we were able to take some pictures on the balcony.

Look into my eyes! In October I did some Animal day photoshoots and this was one of my favorite images. A beautiful black cat with great eyes...

Every time I meet with @cara.mash, we create something epic, but every time in a completely different way. This shot was taken near the Central Station of Cologne.

This portrait of Priscilla Quintana @priscilla_quintana for the series called Making A Portrait Season 01 Episode 02. Wanted to get a subtle portrait with soft light touching her face.

This image was taken in the early morning, by the sea in early October. The sky is filled with incredible color, between blue and red, and we take advantage of this morning to take some pictures. Little by little, the clouds arrive and this marks the end of the session. I then made a few portraits on a dike, and finally, this photo, or doriane with a Brigitte Bardot look...

Mother and son...they have a very special story and a very special relationship. We had literally 5 minutes to capture this as the boy was quickly distracted by neighbor friend who unexpectedly turned up.

This photo was taken in a beautiful park in the middle of the city. We called it "Eyes of Hope", it was the first photoshoot in months after the lockdown. We were lucky to have a nice sunset with sunlight sneaking through the trees. Thanks a lot @francelo_

This is Ashley. We did a fun photoshoot in lingerie, this was one of my favorite shots during this shoot. The next shoot will be in December.
