Welcome to my page, my name is Boukje and I'm an enthusiastic and passionate pet photographer. I really enjoy to create a dreamy image, and love to play with the light and match beautiful colours in the photograph. Dogs and horses have played a big role in my life ever since I was a little girl. Those animals stole my heart from the beginning and working with them makes me really happy and blessed. I work with a lot of patience and kindness to create the most stunning results.
I work with my NikonZ7II, and mostly I use my sigma Art 135mm f1.8. Sometimes I like tot use my 35mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 as well, depending on the situation, model, idea and location.
If you want to know more about me you can check my biography at my website or follow me on Instagram to get updated by the latest news. Enjoy your day!

I've always wanted an Irish Setter dog when I was younger, I really love this dog breed. Unfortunately my partner in crime didn't want a dog with long hair, so instead of the Irish setter we have a Hungarian vizsla at the moment (who is also the best we could wish for). Still I had this wish to have an Irish Setter in front of my lens, and so sweet Sepp came along. I found his owners at Social Media and invited them to come to my workshop with Sepp. The rest is history ;)
102nd CollectionI made this photo during my urban dog photography workshop on a rainy Saturday morning. These fluffy models did a great job at posing for the attending photographers.
102nd CollectionThis little puppy was so fluffy and adorable during the workshop. We needed some patience to capture the perfect shots, but after a while Izzy understood she just had to stand still for a couple of seconds to get a treat for her good work.
101st CollectionStella and her beautiful horses never dissapoint me during workshops. How stunning is she?! Het brown pony called Mae is a very special one, which she trained all by herself. The black one Moon is a new member of the family, but also very sweet and a good horse.
101st CollectionFor this photoshoot we went next level. The client wanted something different... she loves her horse, but she already has tons of pictures of her. She texted me: "is it possible to combine a equine photoshoot with a boudoir photoshoot?"
I thought... why not? So we set a date, the first date they predicted rain and thunder. So we rescheduled our photoshoot to the next week and boy were we lucky with the amazing atmosphere at this location near Eindhoven. I absolutely loved every second of this special photoshoot (except the mosquitoes and the fact that I stumbled over a tree branch).
This photoshoot was heaven. The client was so calm and the bond between her and her ponies was absolutely special. I loved the golden hour during this shoot and the simple but lovely location.
100th CollectionPua was such a beautiful model during one of my workshops at this castleruin. She knows she's a pretty dalmatian, you can see that from the photo.
100th CollectionDuring one of my own workshops I invited the owner of this lovely dachshund puppy to join as one of the models. We needed a lot of patience and calmness for this little cutie, but in the end you will always be rewarded.
98th CollectionSophie always comes back to me for a photoshoot with her pretty fjord horses. This is definitely one of my favorite portraits of her!
98th CollectionThe owners of Berner Senner dog Kees asked me for a photosession at the end of the winter this year. We didn't know how much time Kees would have, because she was sick and every day counted. We went to a beautiful place near my hometown to capture one of her last memories. You will never be forgotten Kees!
98th CollectionAt one of my own workshops I invite beginner photographers to come with me to this amazing castleruin in the south of the Netherlands. Shiva the golden retriever was one of the models this evening, she was so kind and relaxed at that moment. I couldn't resist to take a picture of her at this setting. I really love the magical light at the end of the evening at this place, it gives even more fairytale vibes.
97th CollectionI met this lovely duo at a workshop evening of my colleague and friend Eliane, where I attended to make some behind the scenes for her. She invited some horse owners with beautiful black horses to do a modelling job for a group of excited photographers (including me). This stallion was so such a good and hansome horse, loved every minute of this shoot and love the green tones.
97th CollectionI took this photo at a very very special location... not, lol. These are the tiny bush behind our house, where everyone litteraly walks by everyday and don't even care about. But I immediately saw it's a perfect setting for dog portraits, especially the little or medium sized dogs. Nero had to lie down between the bush. It didn't mind him at all, he's such a good fellow. It took me 2 minutes to make this photo and about 15 minutes to give it the finnishing touch in Photoshop. I think this is my favorite portrait of him so far.
97th CollectionBack in October 2023, I went on this awesome horse photography trip to Switzerland. We went to a surprise location on a Wednesday morning... nobody knew where we were going and why we had to set the alarm so early.... like 04:30 am!
Arriving at the location, we saw the sun coming up behind a beautiful large field of purple flowers, it was so huge you couldn't even see it's end. It was just like a fairytale, and the models were so good and stunning as well. An experience I will never forget!
Back in October 2023, I went on this awesome horse photography trip to Switzerland. On the last day of our trip we went to Manuela, who lives at a beautiful place with her horses. You can see the mountains from the meadows. She really wanted some photos with her horses and her weddingdress. And so we took them... with this stunning view as our scenery. Really love this moment I captured of her and her lovely animals.
96th CollectionOn a really cold day last January I had a clientshoot with Marjan and her handsome shepherds Daisy and Lizzy. I saw this beautiful spot in one of my favorite forrests, with beautiful backlight coming through the trees. It was cold, but we had a stunning sunrise and lovely quiet morning with also some frosty elements. This is definitely one of my favorite duo photos of dogs.
96th CollectionRafi the Saluki is one of the dog breeds that was on my bucket-list for a long time. Finally I found a perfect model like him for my dog photography workshop, and he did so great. He fits beautifully in the urban area where we were shooting that day. Thankful for your loyalty and kindness handsome Rafi!
95th CollectionPomsky Lilly (left) and Shiba Inu Nayla (right) were two absolutely stunning models during one of my dog photography workshops. Their fur colour matches perfect together. Short after this shot, the two little rascals thought it would be funny to run around like loonatics. Very much fun to see, luckily we were able to get them back for some more beautiful shots.
