Ninth Collection
A modern homage to Botticelli's Birth of Venus. I was inspired by the gaze on the protagonist's face, the color scheme, and the timelessness of the anatomy style which was painted.

This picture was made with sunlight only. I want to try out with the shadows on the face of the model. And so created this beautiful close up in the midst of the many freckles!
This photo was taken on a very cold day in Saskatoon, SK. There is a beautiful grove of trees that looks as though it's straight from a storybook; it was the perfect location for an 'Evil Queen' photo shoot. The crown was handmade using multiple lengths of 16g wire.

Before I have taken this photo, I've tried to find a "connection" between
the tree in the background and the model.
Therefore I didn't need very long ...
in a few minutes I have connected "the two beauties" ...
and after that I transferred the picture into black and white ...
just wonderful ...
Thank you Michelle

Grandma - Sihanoukville slum, Cambodia.
This was taken whilst working with disadvantaged communities living in the slums of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The projects focused on protecting vulnerable children from touristic sexual exploitation whilst helping them to access education, healthcare and recreation. This often involved supporting members of the children's family. This woman was fiercely protective her young grandchildren and had such an intelligent and interesting face.
This photo was taken at the last bookstore. A beautiful book store in downtown L.A. The model is Maddy we set this shoot up last minute. Fun fact they Took our bags at the front door. All her outfits and my equipment where taken so we had to make do with what we had, luckily I put the lights in my pocket. Photo was taken on a NikonD800.

With this image, I wanted to create a portrait of evanescent atmosphere. The purpose of this study was to infuse a contemporary choreography with an ancient one. In fact, the model does not have the appearance of a modern girl, but a figure reminiscent of a distant era. The look of Lynda seems to require a response, almost as if she was wondering, “Where am I? What am I doing?”
This photograph is from an editorial shoot I did with writer/director Steffen Schlachtenhaufen. We were going for quite a dark, grungy look inspired by old school heavy metal bands. I arranged my studio garage doors to slant just a little natural light onto his face for this shot, and then darkened it in Lightroom to create this grungy rock look. I love the powerful look of this portrait.
My "little" brother turned 27 recently and he wanted a serious portrait to show his grown up side. I was happy to do it and I think it captures him perfectly - smart, handsome and on his way to big things!
I met this gorgeous model Alina at first time for this photoshoot at my studio. She is a fitness blogger, Miss Lace, Car Babe, you name it. My only mission was (and is) to capture authentic glamour/beauty portraits and we nailed it as you can see from the photo.
Tree Fairy. Part of a series called "tree fairy" where I attempt to create an organic connection between the woman and the tree to which she is nested. Through spatial interconnectedness with nature coupled with a timeless gaze and a beautiful and natural face I tried to revisit an often theme I enjoy capturing: nature in its pure form.
Just remember.. all magic comes at a price

This beautiful girl was the first time in front of the camera. She inspired me very well!!! And so created this pic on the window with sunlight and a black background only.
After a long shooting day ...
this photo was one of the last ...
The fine reflecting light and the fabulous lovely view of my model ...
I really feel called upon to take this photo. What a moment.
Thank you Michelle

This photo was taken in Los Angeles, at a photographers meet I attended. These photo meets are hosted around in the L.A. area, where photographers are able to test their photo skills with models. This was my first time going to this specific meet, where they collaborated with a different group. As i was walking around trying to capture a photograph of one of the models, i spotted Mariana Vigueras as she posed in the middle of the street with her head held high and her beautiful headpiece representing culture and elegancy.
Photo was taken on a Nikon D800

The project was carried out in an empty house in Rotterdam. The setting, full of magic and history, let me to create images that evoke the dream. The huge windows gave off a perfect natural light to illuminate the subject and to give a mild prominence of light and shadow to the entire scene. The basic idea was to portray the characters as individuals dreamy, lost within their own imagination, in a ‘unique vision and shared the same space. I tried to turn on hopes of paving the way to the desires, to seize the soul hidden behind the eyes of my models. I went back and their children. Free, I never gave up and full of wonder.
The feeling - as I would describe this. Meet Katja - beautiful model here in Finland.
I always like to keep my portraits simple, beautiful and authentic as this is (at least for me). Only the backdrop and light is mine and everything else is hers. I shot this in my studio with one light, no extra make-up and hair in a Bun. Simple set, stunning female and her warming feeling mixed with cold background is just a perfect match.
