One Hundred and Sixteenth Collection
Jacoliene holding the Eurasian jay gently in her hands. Her calm posture and the soft lighting give the portrait a timeless, painterly quality as if it were a fragment from another story, quiet and full of meaning.

A portrait of a beautiful lady in the studio. I love the softness of the dress with the tulle combined with her tattoos.
Valentina, wrapped in warm scarves and holding a small oil lamp. The moment feels as if time has paused, captured in soft Rembrandt light. A simple and timeless image that conveys warmth and calm.

Lara sitting under the Vischpoort in Elburg, captured in a beautiful photo with the old wooden door of the Vischpoort in the background.
Sam, holding his worn-out stuffed toy tightly in his hand, seems to step out of another time. The oldβmastersβ light and his calm posture make it feel as if this moment is suspended somewhere between past and present. A pure portrait that evokes warmth and nostalgia.

A bit unusual portrait of a mother with her two sons. Just the way they are. A bit of fun,a bit of chaos, but above all, a lot of love.
I had wanted to photograph her for a while.
Then one day, at a workshop, there she was. Not just present, but glowing, as if waiting for the right light.
We talked. Laughed. Agreed to meet again.
Some time later, we found ourselves at the edge of an old ruin, surrounded by trees, grass and open fields. The kind of silence that feels wide and welcoming.
We took photos. We laughed more.
And somewhere between light and laughter, this image was born.

This portrait captures a child holding his puppy, exactly as they were in that moment.
Nothing staged or forced, just a small pause in time.
This is what I love about portrait photography!
