I moved in close to remove any distance. No space to hide, but also no need to. Every detail stays the freckles, the texture, the slight tension in her expression.
This is not about perfection. It’s about allowing someone to be seen exactly as they are, without softening the edges that make them unique.
There is something about the way a child sits with their mother that can’t be directed.
She didn’t pose like this because I asked her to. She moved, adjusted, held her the way she always does without thinking. And she simply stayed there, completely at ease.
I kept the setting quiet on purpose. No distractions, no styling that takes over. Just light, shadow, and the natural rhythm between them.
