I'm currently working on a self portrait series documenting my journey through a major life transition and heartbreak, creating a visual representation of my feelings of anxiety, isolation, depression, loneliness and desire. I publish them to instagram with short descriptions describing the mood or feeling I had when I took the photo. I am the model in every photo, I use a fujifilm x30 camera with a ten second timer and edit all of the photos on my iPhone.
I've spent all of my adult life as an actor and model and this is my first creative project where I am in complete control, which means these photos are the very fist time I have heard the sound of my own voice.
