So much of who we are exists inside a vast internal landscape.
At its most basic, Photography is about seeing the world of line, shape, form, texture, pattern, and color expressed through the interaction of light and shadow.
However, a photograph is much more powerful and filled with purpose. Photographs allow us to process information in an environment that is both physically real and emotionally charged with symbols, objects and ideas. This communication between what our conscious mind can see and our unconscious mind can fabricate lets us play out emotions and experiences in our imagination. This bridge allows for movement back and forth between what we think we know, what we really feel and a world of illusive fantasy.
My photography seeks to capture human emotion and experience, in real and hyper real images. These images utilize cinematic themes, moods and atmospheres that prompt abstract meanings in the multiple levels of consciousness of the viewer.
