Yannick Faure trained in photography in an advertising production studio in the mid-90s, with big names in fashion photography like Patrick Demarchelier and Helmut Newton as sources of inspiration. He worked as an advertising photographer and sees in fashion photography a close link with artistic photography, which encouraged him more and more to experiment in this field. Later, the arrival of Photoshop helped to make his work more successful and in tune with this artistic inspiration. He works on the melancholy, the dream, the mystery, pays tribute to women by undressing them without ever making them vulgar. In his portraits he searches for an emotion, a truth borrowed from a certain sadness but not without despair.
